PIANO/RECORDER/VIOLIN - about me
I grew up at McLaren Vale on an acreage with a vineyard and Plant Nursery that has been in my family since 1931 originally owned by my grandfather.
I started piano and recorder lessons at age 6. Music continued to be an emphasis through my life. When I was a teenager I was accepted with my audition on piano into Flinders Street School Of Music which has now amalgamated with Adelaide Uni.
My qualifications from that are -
Certificate In Music Performance (1996),
Certificate IV Music Performance (1997),
Diploma In Music Performance (1998)
Advanced Diploma In Music Performance (2000)
I'm now in my mid 30's and have been teaching instrumental music since 1999 in my home studio and within various different schools/organisations and independently. My lessons are always for leisure but if you want an extra achievement or goal, exams can be arranged. I teach all styles from classical, modern, jazz, blues etc once past early stage of learning.
I'm a relaxed teacher, and always aim to make the student happy and at ease in the learning experience. I treat each person with a lot of nurturing and encouragement. Learning music will bring many rewards both personally and to others.
